The Food Science Division is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Scientific Affairs Officer. Based in the US and focused on the Americas region, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of scientific strategies to support regulatory submissions and approvals as well as the external validation of FSD products. This role requires a strong background in scientific research, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

How You’ll Make An Impact :

  • Oversee the implementation of scientific strategies to support validations and approvals in Americas for FSD products.
  • Coordinate and prepare scientific documents, including validation reports for AOAC and Health Canada, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of scientific strategies with Business priorities.
  • Supervise strategic scientific partnerships in the Americas.
  • Stay up to date with scientific advancements, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies, key opinion leaders, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

What You Bring :

  • Education : Advanced degree (Ph. D, master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Work Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in scientific affairs, or a related field within the Food or biotechnology industry.
  • A good understanding of AOAC (US) and Health Canada (Canada) or MAPA (Brazil) validation processes will be appreciated
  • A good knowledge of USDA and FDA organizations in the field of Food Microbiology will be also highly considered
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

    Compensation : The estimated base salary range for this position is $133,900 to $184,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
