What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production/Chemical Dispensing Supervisor position at Bio-Rad?
As the Production / Chemical Dispensing Supervisor, you will supervise the Lineside / Warehouse Department. This production team distributes chemical raw materials that are used to produce our liquid reagent products. You will plan and assign work to direct labor personnel, implement policies and procedures.You will recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions within established delivery, quality, compliance, safety, budget and cost standards.
First shift role : Monday through Friday from 6 am to 3 pm.
How You'll Make An Impact :
- Manage a team of production associates engaged in receiving, staging, put away, cycle count, and scrapping of production chemical inventory.
- Schedule, assign and manage the daily activities of the team.
- Interviews and selects personnel. Coach and train personnel in their duties.
- Monitor employee performance and prepare and communicate performance reviews.
- Assist in the development of documentation procedures.
- Monitor processes and makes adjustment to stay within schedule, budgets and established targets.
- Troubleshoot production issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Responsible for meeting key metrics to include production schedules, quality standards, production yields, cost targets. Communicate priorities, performance results and objectives to team members.
- Participate on project teams as needed.
- Participate as the Bio-Rad representative for this department before FDA, DEA, CAL / OSHA, and other regulatory body audits.

Compensation : The estimated base salary range for this position is $66,560 - $90,300 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
