Position Summary:
We are seeking a Science Writer to join our team in Minneapolis supporting our Recombinant Protein Business Unit and R&D Systems brand. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to produce engaging, scientific content and work closely with scientists, marketing, and design teams. This is an ideal position for applicants with a strong scientific background that enjoy keeping up on the hottest topics in life sciences, including coronavirus, stem cells, immunology, and cancer research. The role requires contributions to print and digital subject matter for marketing campaigns and sales enablement. It also includes opportunities for travel to scientific conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scientific content for web pages and new products on Bio-Techne and R&D Systems websites.
- Write and coordinate scientific copy for marketing materials, including product brochures, life science posters, scientific reviews, and promotional flyers
- Assist Campaign Management in designing and composing content for marketing campaigns, and track campaign effectiveness using marketing metrics.
- Collaborate with scientific teams, other Bio-Techne business units, and product managers to support the whole product portfolio.
- Review and proofread new website content and marketing materials for scientific accuracy.
- Maintain an appreciation of the Bio-Techne product range.
- Remain informed of the latest in life science advancements.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Ph.D. level in a life science discipline preferred, but applicants with a master’s or bachelor’s degrees with related experience will be considered.
- Strong scientific copy writing/editing and excellent written and spoken English.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environment to set deadlines
