The Sr. People Business Partner supporting our Devens, Massachusetts site will serve as a partner and advisor to business leaders and align with global teams across Bio-Techne to advance our people priorities. The Sr. People Business Partner will be the lead people partner onsite in Devens supporting site leadership and serve as the primary HR contact for the site, Site responsibilities include managing employee engagement and site events to build internal community. In addition to site responsibilities, The Sr. People Partner will support senior leadership across divisional sites to achieve divisional business objectives.
The Sr. People Business Partner will be responsible for driving and operationalizing people initiatives aligned to the Bio-Techne global people strategy and work to enhance the employee experience and champion Bio-Techne’s EPIC culture. Central to success for this role is partnering and collaborating with cross functional partners, the broader People Team, and business leaders across Bio-Techne.
Essential Functions
Operationalize the performance management, talent review, leader development, engagement, and employee relations programs and processes to meet business objectives within the division.
Work closely with senior leaders and managers to build organizational capability by utilizing a range of strategic people-related processes and programs including talent management, performance management and resource planning.
Support the development of leadership capability to create a qualified internal candidate pool to support growth and succession.
Partner with all levels of leadership identify opportunities for organizational or cultural transformation to drive business performance.
Act as a change agent, lead and facilitate organizational change initiatives to drive transformation and culture transformation.
Coach and influence leaders to enable delivery of business strategy; anticipate the changing needs of the business and drive the active management, development and retention of talent and reduce turnover.
Partner with employees at all levels to address employee needs in partnership with HR COEs Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Benefits, HRIS, Total Rewards and Talent Development.
Collaborate with HR COEs, implement and drive adoption of practices and processes across all facets of People.
Be an active contributor to developing the HR functional strategy, understand the objectives of other HR teams and take opportunities to share knowledge and best practice.
Address employee relations issues and partner with internal and external legal counsel to create an engaging environment, drive compliance and resolve performance/behavioral issues.
Manage and support culture and engagement events at the site.
Promote EPIC values across the division.
Utilize systems and data for progressive effectiveness and efficiency and ensure data integrity.
Contribute to continuous improvement by setting growth standards, committing to quality experiences of HR programs by employees and leaders.
Proactively partner with all levels of the organization to solve problems with creativity and a growth mindset.
Willing and able to travel, up to 25%.
Reports into a global, distributed HR team with off-site leaders

Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations
Experience supporting manufacturing leadership
Ability to navigate and lead within a highly matrixed environment
Ability to analyze and problem solve complex issues that impact large employee populations
Ability to work with leaders and employees across sites to support effective business operations
Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner
Ability to interact with all levels of employees, communicate professionally, effective at both oral and written communications
Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level of accuracy
Ability to travel to visit other Bio-Techne sites
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree required.
5 years of progressive people leadership experience including organizational design experience and working across a matrix organization.
Progressive roles in Human Resources including HR Generalist experience that includes previous work experience in talent management and employee relations.
Ability to work independently, with a minimum of direction and should be self-motivated to accomplish goals and objectives.
Ability to leverage people metrics and technology as a strategic asset to guide effectiveness and efficiency.
Experience working in biotech, pharma, and/or life sciences in a production setting is preferred.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR certification is preferred.
