Pay Range

$17.60 - $24.20

Pay Rate: $18/hour

All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time.

Internship Opportunity – Biomedical Engineering (Simple Plex Platform)

Are you a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering? Are you eager to apply your knowledge in a hands-on setting that bridges technology and biology? If so, Bio-Techne has an exciting internship opportunity for you!

As a Simple Plex Intern, you will work on Bio-Techne’s Simple Plex platform, a cutting-edge system that integrates engineering and biological sciences to advance precision research. You will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and optimizing assay performance by investigating factors that influence assay drift—including run scripts, flow rates, biological reagents, and instrumentation.

• Understand and follow appropriate lab protocols 
• Chemical handling and hazards 
• Labeling 
• Safety procedures 
• Department specific SOP’s 
• Proper use and maintaining equipment 
• Document results 
• Complete all compliance trainings as assigned 
• Manages time well and will put in extended time as needed 
• Understand databases 
• Meets quality expectations 
• Flexibility to work on multiple tasks with increased effectiveness 
• Set up and perform experiments under the guidance of a supervisor
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and address technical challenges
• Contribute to product improvement initiatives through rigorous testing and data analysis
  
  

 Program Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship
• Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
• Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
  
  

Experience Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Passion for exploring the convergence of biological sciences and engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
