Job Summary:

The Logistics Center Director will oversee and manage the operations of the logistics facility and distribution center.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Hires and supervises necessary logistics personnel responsible for all daily functions.
  • Dispatchers
  • Approx. 50 Drivers
• Oversee the driver-related workflows to support the following 24/7 internal & routine logistics operations and corresponding team members.
  • Silage/Feed related Products
  • Dairy Manure Hauling
  • Substrate Hauling
  • Land Application
• Collaborates with Facility Maintenance department to provide timely & complete information on truck and trailer repair needs
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Full Time on-site role

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Gathers needed information on and understanding of company demands; meets specific needs for business functions on a timely and accurate basis
• Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
• Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service.
• Oversees compliance with traffic & safety regulations and provide proactive solutions to ensure safety for drivers
• Maintain fleet’s & regulatory functions to ensure proper road readiness

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with computer-based management systems for logistic management tools that drive high degree of organization & efficiency
• Bi-lingual not required but beneficial (English & Spanish)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years of experience in logistics management or transportation industry required.
