The Director of Total Rewards will lead the strategic development and execution of innovative compensation, benefits, and HRIS programs that align with BioAgilytix's goals and culture. As a global CRO with locations across the U.S. (California, North Carolina, Massachusetts), Germany, and Australia, this role requires crafting competitive and compliant total rewards packages that address diverse regional needs. The Director will ensure HRIS systems operate seamlessly, drive data-driven improvements, and stay ahead of global and local industry best practices. As a leader, you’ll mentor a high-performing Total Rewards team, manage budgets, collaborate with external vendors, and champion transparent communication and education around rewards programs. Success in this role will focus on fostering continuous improvement and enhancing the employee experience worldwide.

- Develop, review, and update total rewards policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits
- Keep abreast of industry trends and legislative changes that may impact on total rewards programs
- Develop and execute communication plans to effectively inform employees about total rewards programs by conducting training sessions and workshops to educate employees on compensation and benefits
- Address trends associated with employee inquiries related to total rewards, responsible for key annual projects such as period HRIS implementations, benefits open enrollment and annual performance management and merit/bonus cycle
- Lead and mentor the Total Rewards team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of total rewards programs
- Design and manage comprehensive benefits programs, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks
- Evaluate and negotiate with benefits brokers and providers to ensure cost-effective and competitive benefits offerings
- Monitor and manage benefits enrollment, claims data, and compliance with applicable laws
- Oversee the development and administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity-based compensation
- Oversee the development and input of benchmarking studies, pay equity analysis and other compensation projects
- Elevate the current compensation structure to introduce levels, job bands and grades
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS systems
- Ensure data integrity, security, and accuracy within the HRIS
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Oversee a small team of three (3) within HR operations, benefits and compensation.
- In-depth understanding of all HR disciplines, including state and federal employment related laws, regulations, and requirements; ability to apply that knowledge in business situations

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experienced and knowledgeable user of HRIS platforms (Ceridian/Dayforce)
- Strong customer focus, comfortable implementing change and dealing with ambiguity
- Capable of making decisions within guidelines and policies
- Expert skills with Excel required
- Proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools required
- Strong analytic, written, and verbal skills
- Experience demonstrating project management and organizational skills
- Minimum of 10 years of Global Total Rewards (compensation & benefits) administration experience, transition from fully insured benefit plans to self-insured benefit plans, deep knowledge of compensation structure, a plus
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management, Finance or equivalent in training & experience
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certification is a plus
- Experience working in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, CRO/CMO, or similar life sciences organization is a plus
- Primarily office (i.e., blend of office and work-from-home)
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
