Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated MRI Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our MRI department in Berlin, VT. As the MRI Supervisor, you will lead a team of MRI technologists, ensuring high-quality imaging services are provided to patients while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to support excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage MRI technologists, ensuring proper workflow and maintaining high standards of imaging quality.
- Provide guidance, training, and ongoing education to MRI staff on equipment usage, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain operational efficiency in the MRI department.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff to support professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and operational procedures to minimize risk and maintain patient safety.
- Oversee the daily operations of the MRI department, ensuring that imaging procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to ensure imaging studies meet clinical needs and assist with diagnostic interpretations.
- Assist with complex or specialized imaging procedures when necessary, providing technical support.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of MRI scans, ensuring high-quality images and troubleshooting equipment or procedural issues as they arise.
- Schedule and coordinate MRI appointments to optimize workflow and minimize patient wait times.
- Ensure that MRI equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition, addressing any technical issues promptly.
- Manage inventory and supplies related to MRI procedures and order necessary materials as needed.
- Maintain and update patient records in compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related field.
- Completion of an accredited MRI program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI.
- State licensure in Radiologic Technology (if applicable).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MRI technologist.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical MRI setting preferred.
