Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sonography Supervisor to lead and oversee the sonography department at our healthcare facility in Burlington, VT. As the Sonography Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the sonography team, maintaining high-quality imaging standards, supervising staff, and working closely with medical professionals to provide excellent patient care. Your leadership will ensure that the sonography services are aligned with both clinical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor the sonography team, ensuring all staff members maintain the highest standards of imaging and patient care.
- Oversee the daily operations of the sonography department, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of all sonography equipment.
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices and guidelines in sonography, including safety protocols, patient comfort, and confidentiality.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as needed, including obstetric, gynecological, and other specialized sonography exams.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and contribute to patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback and support for continuous staff development.
- Stay up to date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, ensuring that the department adopts new, evidence-based practices as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of departmental performance, including staff schedules, equipment maintenance, and imaging outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment within the sonography department.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Sonography program (Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s).
- Certification in diagnostic medical sonography.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sonographer, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Extensive experience in performing high-quality ultrasound imaging in obstetrics, gynecology, and other specialties as required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound technology, equipment, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to patient care and service excellence.

Pay: $104,624.00 - $156,936.00 per year
