Job Title : Principal Global Market Development

General Summary
The Principal, Global Market Development is a senior-level role responsible for driving key market development initiatives and expanding the organization’s presence across global markets. This individual will lead efforts to acquire new customers, grow market share, and enhance the company’s competitive positioning within the advanced therapies sector, including cell and gene therapies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive market development strategies that align with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share globally.
- Lead efforts to identify and secure new customers, working closely with the sales team to develop targeted sales plans.
- Coordinate market development efforts across one or more BBG Advanced Therapies service lines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the development and execution of market strategies.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead the development and management of budgets related to market development activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience
Requires seven years in the field of Advanced Therapies, including experience in market development, business development, or sales within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
Knowledge
Must have knowledge of the cell & gene therapy supply chain landscape, including biological starting materials and biomanufacturing.
Skills
Must possess excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Working Environment
Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
