Job summary:
The DC Manager leads a diverse team in all core functions related to inbound and outbound distribution operations and is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient distribution center, establishing priorities, directing, planning and coordinating the daily activities of the operations team.
Primary responsibilities:
- Promote and lead a safety-first culture; maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Meet & exceed customer service delivery requirements; drive key performance indicators for on-time delivery, order fulfillment, and product quality
- Develop, coach, and mentor distribution team members; establish and measure performance within identified goals & objectives
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focused on product quality, safety & security, process efficiency, and cost efficiency
- Optimize procedures and process controls to reduce risk and minimize inventory write-offs due to product damage.
- Manage all distribution core functions, including receiving, inventory accuracy, pick / pack operations, and outbound shipments
- Ensure process adherence through routine inspections of team members job competency and monitoring of system controls.
- Oversee inventory levels and availability of critical shipping supplies
- Manage all temperature monitoring and validation activities in the distribution center
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment used in the distribution center, including ensuring proper certifications as required for workers using equipment
- Interview, hire, and oversee the training for all new team members
- Identify and effectively resolve personnel issues, partnering with HR as needed
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations, bringing any compliance issues to the attention of management

Required certifications, licenses, education, and experience:
- 5 years of warehouse management experience
- Must be willing to be trained on the use of PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) equipment as needed
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred education, competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- SAP inventory management & warehouse management experience
- Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement certification
- Forklift certification and associated safety training
