Job Description
The primary focus of the HRIS Analyst is to provide support and guidance to the HR team by creating and maintaining reports, tools, and analytics necessary to meet team initiatives. This position will also be responsible for managing system updates and new feature releases as well as managing system security.
Primary Responsibilities
Acts as internal system consultant for the HR Team by:
- Meeting with the heads of each HR function regularly to determine the current initiatives for each team and suggesting Workday tools & analytics to help them meet their goals more efficiently
- Recommending solutions or alternate methods for system issues
- Researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws
- Writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports utilizing available reporting tools.
- Assisting in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
- Helping maintain data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing data, and working with the HR team to evaluate gaps
- Developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation
- Training HR Users (new and existing) on processes and functionality of the systems and assisting team with system-related questions and needs
Manages system updates and new feature releases by:
- Managing semi-annual Workday version releases by researching new features, evaluating which ones should be adopted by Bioclinica, and implementing and testing those that are added
- Auditing, validating, and updating data within HR systems to achieve data integrity and ensure that system controls and processes meet all internal and external audit requirements
- Making configuration changes to security and business processes as needed
- Continuously analyzing system applications and tools to ensure best practices.
- Assisting with the management of HRIS implementation, maintenance and enhancement
- Training HR users on new processes/functionality
Lead the security configuration of the Workday platform including overall framework, development of new security roles and business process definitions by:
- Conducting meetings and working closely with HR and management to improve business processes and reporting and analytics available to the organization
- Acting as internal Workday security subject matter expert by providing consultative and functional assistance
- Administering Workday security by granting user access, coaching for role assignment accuracy and maintaining security protocols and programs
- Ensuring proper protocols are developed and followed to meet audit compliance requirements
Assists with departmental initiatives by:
- Managing projects as requested
- Maintaining professional means of communication with all staff
Secondary Responsibilities
Contributes to team effort by:
- Cross-training and serving as back up to other HR functions
- Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
- Performing other duties as assigned
Maintains Technical Knowledge by:
- Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training
- Attending and participating in applicable continuing education in Human Resources
- Reviewing publications
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources or related field required
- PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience supporting Workday or another enterprise application system
- Working knowledge of HR practices required
- Experience in Configurable Security, Custom Report writing, and/or Data Audit required
- Data protection and privacy experience required
Additional skill set:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality a must
- Ability to work in group setting and independently; ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Excellent attention and orientation toward meticulous work; strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
