The Associate Director will lead the strategy development process and oversee the execution of promotional programs and tactics targeted to patient / consumer / caregiver audiences about the potential benefits of Afrezza. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer to play a critical role in the Afrezza brand team.Principal Responsibilities :
Developing strategy, tactics and critical success factors relative to patient / consumer segmentsDeveloping ideas and strategies to reach patient / consumers in innovative ways, including digital marketing, social mediaCoordinating the work of multiple external vendors and internal departments including marketing, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, compliance and ISLeading projects through the legal, regulatory, and medical review processLeading program budgets and developing metrics to ensure the success of the promotional programsLeading market research planning that supports patient / consumer promotional effortsObserving all Company, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the work listed above and may include other assignments as necessary.Education and Experience Qualifications :
BS / BA Degree with 7 years of experience and / or MBA / MS with 3 years of directly-related patient / consumer marketing experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industryPrevious experience in the diabetes marketplace preferredPrevious experience in pediatric / caregiver marketing preferredExperience in digital marketing preferredRecord of growing responsibility within marketing (sales, sales training preferred)Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problemsAbility to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a lean, fast-paced environmentStrong leadership and ability to drive influence across partners to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure flawless executionExperience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impactOutstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple vendors and agency partnersAbility to effectively manage multiple competing prioritiesStrong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSmall company environment – able to successfully adapt to the demands of the business by being receptive to a rapidly changing environmentTraveling may be required (15% or more) for attendance of key patient events
