**Job Summary:**
In this role as a Laboratory Technician, you will assist with the setup, support, and execution of daily laboratory activities. You will have the technical training and experience required to perform regulated clinical laboratory test realization using standard in-vitro laboratory techniques.
The ideal candidate will be able to operate a proprietary Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and work effectively in a cross-functional matrix organization. They will also be willing to share data and technical knowledge, possess excellent communication skills, and meet deadlines for complete and quality results.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Complete training and competency assessment for all new and existing procedures
- Perform all test realization functions in support of Biodesix products and services
- Enter appropriate data into LIMS and upload it to the Customer Service team
- Contribute to the overall maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Create and revise Laboratory SOPs in the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support internal audits through good documentation practices
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in Development projects as needed
- Communicate effectively with on-site and remotely located management/support teams
**Requirements:**
- Technical level (I/II/III) will be benchmarked based on laboratory experience, technical competency, and ability to work independently
- Outstanding technical laboratory skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to thoroughness and error-free execution of procedures
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
- Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office suite)
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a strong work ethic
- Self-motivated and possesses exceptional written and verbal skills
**Education and Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology; or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined by CLIA; OR
- Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined by CLIA
- Experience with high complexity testing, HPLC, LC-MS, and/or ELISA preferred
**Work Environment:**
- De Soto, KS | On-Site
- Saturday through Wednesday
