Job Description

NURSE PRACTITIONER

BioEnve Hormonal Health office is looking to add a full-time highly skilled Nurse Practitioner, preferably with Women's Health experience and a passion for patient care, to join our busy and growing practice. Willing to train and pay for training for candidates that are interested and have a desire to learn this field of health. This position is accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks in order to be an integral part of our team and provide patient care in our Brownwood/Early office. This position offers competitive pay and a desired Monday-Thursday and off at noon on Friday schedule. In addition, we would also consider a part-time position for the right candidate. You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of our healthcare team.

SCHEDULE:

This is a FULL-TIME position with a work schedule of 32-36 hours for full-time employee or possibly a 24-28 hours per week for the part-time position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide preventive, acute and general care in a busy locally owned private clinic
  • Assess and diagnose patient condition and develops and implements a treatment plan
  • Administer treatments, perform physical examinations, and research medical histories.
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic testing and interpret results, prescribe, administer, and dispense medications and other treatments
  • Provide patient education and counseling
  • Maintain patient health information records
  • Coordinate treatment and makes appropriate referrals to other health providers as necessary and monitor patient outcomes, maintain safety, infection control, and quality of care standards
  • Perform hormone replacement insertion procedures (*if needed; training will be provided)
  • Maintain patient health information records
  • Perform all other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Considerable knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Knowledge of different disciplines and disease states; knowledge of medication and their interactions and reactions
  • Physical assessment skills; counseling skills; considerable interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform minimally invasive procedures
  • Ability to prioritize information and work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to formulate plans of care
  • Decision making ability
  • Leadership and Mentor skills
  • Experience in patient care management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, physicians, administrators, leadership and others.

Required Experience/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Advanced degree as Nurse Practitioner
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Texas
  • Current DEA/DPS registration
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a nurse practitioner
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, clinical practice standards, normal growth and development, and requirements of practice.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Adhere to all agency and clinic policies and procedures.
  • Ability to independently seek out resources and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook, as well as electronic medical record system

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

Seasoned practitioner with experience in a leadership/mentor role is a plus
