Bio Fab Technologies is a custom stainless-steel fabricator that manufactures equipment for the Food and Pharmaceutical industries and with our continued growth we are looking to add an impact player to our team as a Project Manager. The PM’s primary focus is taking care of our customers. They are the intermediary of the customer and the business. They produce quotes for new projects, which if accepted, becomes an order which is executed by the PM. The PM serves as a liaison between the customer and business to communicate project scope, deadlines and updates. The PM is responsible for all aspects of their portfolio to include procurement of materials, overseeing the budget, monitoring the manufacturing progress, delivery, final acceptance by the customer, and regular status updates to management. The PM is the primary point of contact for the customer; maintaining a customer centric mindset addressing their needs, questions and concerns promptly throughout the process. The PM is responsible for nurturing the customer relationship to include increasing incoming orders from current portfolio and ensure BFT is achieving desired margins on current order. The PM will be required to provide forecasts to management on their portfolio performance. Responsibilities : Interface with customers on a technical and commercial basis to be the customer’s single point of contact. This includes, but is not limited to, managing RFQ’s, submitting drawings for customer approval, addressing technical issues and concerns, managing project schedules, managing change orders, and order follow up. Plan, schedule, coordinate, and lead assigned engineering projects; provide necessary system design, engineering, material and labor cost estimates for proposal and contract needs of the Company, according to contractual and / or established technical, commercial and administrative guidelines. Measure on time shipping per order and continuous improvement annually. Estimate and prepare cost & delivery quote by obtaining specifications and submitting customer cost & proposed delivery date considering current workload and economic conditions.  Solicit 3 rd -party vendor quotes and outsource materials & processes as needed. Determine whether to fabricate vs. purchase and determine the best manufacturing process for the product(s). Create materials and production plan to ensure project is completed on time and on budget. Generate the documents (Job Traveler) for the shop to begin work on the project. Ensure preparation of drawings, bill-of-materials, work instructions, Installation Operation and Maintenance Manuals, and other data as required, by self or others. Review specifications and contracts to ensure project requirements are met and achievable. Interpret customer comments, determine commercial and technical impact and provide detailed proposals as requested. Process change orders, as applicable. Ensure that all concepts and system designs are cost effective, comply with company technical guidelines, meet customer requirements, perform as designed and are documented per latest procedures. Measure actual to estimated costs per order and continuous improvement annually. Establish communication channels with applicable departments, representatives, and customers on assigned proposal / contracts such that proper interface is maintained on technical, commercial, scheduling, quality and procedural matters. Direct the testing and debugging of equipment in the shop; prepare appropriate test procedures to verify function of components and systems. Apply applicable ASME, ANSI, 3A, CE / ATEX, CSA or other codes and standards as required. Monthly prepare and deliver portfolio reviews that identify and discuss current status, expected future status, risks, and opportunities. Strive for customer satisfaction throughout entire process. Advise customers of the status of projects through phone calls, emails or other forms of communication with the goal of exceeding customer expectations. Attend to quality assurance.  Some jobs require books of information (“full documentation”) to be delivered to the customer with the product. This information may be items i.e weld maps, weld inspection logs, MTR's, 3rd party ASME certification, etc. Responsible for maintaining this information and providing final copy to the customer. Participate in all safety programs and follow all safety policies and rules Qualifications : A Business or Engineering degree is preferred : applicable experience may substitute. Minimum Education : High school graduate Manufacturing Background Project Management experience is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to complete projects independently. Read and interpret blueprints, P&ID, and other technical drawings. Strong contract negotiating skills. CAD knowledge is helpful. Strong interpretations of customer specifications and able to properly assess risks and make project decisions. Provides recommendations. Proven initiative and self-direction. All-in and dedicated. Organization skills; able to establish priorities; handle multiple tasks. Team worker; works and cooperates with all departments. Consistently looks for ways to improve cooperation and communication channels. Flexibility and willingness to respond to customers expediently; problem solver Deal with short lead times Fast-paced work environment Physical Requirements : Routine lifting of less than 10 lbs and occasionally up to 30 lbs.  Periodically required to work navigate stairs, take elevators, and climb ladders. Ability to see / read prints. This job takes place primarily in a professional office environment. At times (less than 5% of the time) the incumbent will be in a manufacturing environment involving higher noise levels and fumes or odors.  Occasionally local driving (domestic / regional) in own vehicle or another passenger vehicle.   Powered by JazzHR
