About The Role

As a UI/UX Designer at Biofire, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interface design of our innovative firearm safety technology. We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-obsessed, and technically proficient to contribute to our Engineering team and help create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that advance our safety mission.

To succeed, you will need to be able to translate complex technical requirements into elegant design solutions while maintaining consistency across our product suite. You will need to be a strategic thinker and effective communicator, who is eager to bridge the gap between design and development while creating interfaces that produce the best possible experience for our users. Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Collaborate with our full-stack teams to develop common UI components and design patterns that can be adopted and extended across product suites
  • Create wire frames, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Develop innovative user interfaces and interactive models that leverage next-generation web and mobile technologies to improve user productivity and operational efficiency
  • Define UI/UX design principles and guide to bring in standardization of components which the entire design team uses for the future
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the platform remains user-friendly

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in UI/UX design with proficiency in Figma and other modern design tools
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS and modern web technologies
  • Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps
  • Track record of developing and implementing design systems and component libraries
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both design and development teams

The compensation range for this role is $125K - $150K/annual salary stock options benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

LOCATION

This is a full-time, salaried role. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. The team regularly engages in collaborative in-person sessions at our vibrant office space, but you will be offered the flexibility to work from home as needed.
