We are hiring a Infection Control Preventionist for one of our clients in Gallup, NM 87301 .
Job Description :
- Provides leadership in the ongoing review and development of clinical practice in compliance of infection control regulations and by functioning as an expert clinician and role model in the clinical setting.
Uses relevant research findings in the provision of infection control services by initiating, conducting and disseminating the findings of locally based research in infection prevention practices, treatments, and disease management.
Adapts and applies related scientific research to infection control and prevention / services and management.
Monitors and documents surveillance / performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with the standards by making regular scheduled and impromptu rounds in addition to the tracer rounds to assure staff is up-to-date and compliant with infection prevention issues, observe aseptic techniques / standard precautions, and checks quality control programs.
