We are seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with expertise in data and AI to lead the development of healthcare data warehouses, integrations, and AI-powered interfaces. This person will play a foundational role in shaping our data infrastructure and building AI-driven applications that improve care delivery, automation, and decision-making.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing Biograph's data strategy, including developing a modern healthcare data warehouse, enabling AI-driven interfaces for consumers (e.g., personalized health insights) and internal teams (e.g., clinician decision support, automation tools), and collaborating with AI/ML engineers to transform raw data into actionable insights and applications. This is a 0-1 opportunity, meaning you'll be building foundational infrastructure from scratch - from defining data schemas and integrations to developing AI-powered products that enhance healthcare workflows.
This is a hybrid role based in New York City. Team members typically work in our Manhattan office 3-5 days a week, with empathetic flexibility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Own the end-to-end product development of data infrastructure, integrations, and AI-driven applications
- Define and execute the data warehouse strategy - ensuring scalable data ingestion, storage, and transformation
- Work closely with engineering and clinical teams to build AI-powered features
- Design and implement data pipelines that integrate EMR, claims, genomics, wearables, and other healthcare data sources
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to build AI models and interfaces for both consumer and clinician use cases
- Ensure data security, compliance, and interoperability (e.g., HIPAA, FHIR, HL7)
- Drive data governance and standardization across the company
- Work cross-functionally to define AI use cases, ensuring models are explainable, accurate, and clinically relevant
- Own KPIs related to data quality, AI adoption, and impact on clinical workflows
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- 5 years of experience in product management with a focus on data infrastructure, AI/ML, and/or healthcare
- Proven track record of building data warehouses, pipelines, and integrations from 0-1
- Experience working with healthcare data (EHRs, claims, FHIR, HL7, wearables, genomics, etc.)
- Strong technical acumen - comfortable working with engineering, AI/ML, and data teams
- Familiarity with data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or similar)
- Experience with AI/ML applications in healthcare (e.g., decision support, automation, personalized health insights)
- Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
- Ability to balance technical depth with business strategy - understanding how data/AI can drive outcomes
- Strong communication skills - able to translate technical concepts into business impact
