Summary
The Logistics and Facilities Manager for BioIVT Disease State Operations will manage the operations of the Detroit Logistics team and Facility operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of oversight and guidance to all logistics channels. Interface directly with distributors.
- Ensure that all departments understand customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- This role will be responsible for logistics management functions throughout an ISO-certified CAP certified organization.
- Will oversee inventory management, distribution & warehousing, and logistics.
- Provides a high level of oversight and guidance to all logistics channels. Interface directly with distributors.
- Create operational efficiencies, discover best practices, and identify programs that lead to increased customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate with & audit shipping contracts (domestic and international).
- Oversee coordination of optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
- Facilitate operational compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, service logs, or training or safety records.
- Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.
- Identify areas for process improvements within logistics and facilities management and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Maintain facilities and equipment according to ISO and CAP requirements.
- Biorepository Inventory Management
- Facilitate monthly physical inventory counts and reporting.
- Liaise with building management personnel.
- Facilitate operational compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Cross functional communication with Site Management, Project Management, Order Management and Customer Service.
- Ensure all lab and analytic equipment is appropriately serviced and functional through policy and procedure development and enforcement.
- Check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
- Oversee Biorepository Freezer Core Preventive and Scheduled Maintenance Schedule.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and energy efficiency to implement in the facility’s operations for cost savings and environmental stewardship.
- Documentation management and review.
- Management of Kit Production department

A full-time Monday through Friday workweek with general business hours and flexibility to occasionally work additional hours as needed and approved by management. This position is in Detroit and the employee will be expected to be on site.
