SUMMARY
This role assists in the efficiently maintaining product and supply inventory at the site and handling product shipment logistics.
This position will ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, State Departments of Health, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), EMEA and FDA Guidelines, general State and Country Regulations such as but not limited to (CLIA, CAP, USP, ISO 9001, USDA regulations, HTA license, DEA and State Controlled Substance programs) where site appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), IRB Protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all process and procedure training as required.
- Manage product inventory, including receiving biological materials and organizing inventory levels to ensure products are readily available upon request.
- Assist in the production planning to ensure product collection and processing is performed according to order requirements.
- Ensure that products are provided to the appropriate areas when requested, while maintaining the chain of custody and temperature requirements.
- Coordinate product logistics to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist in creating and quality controlling product and shipment documentation as needed.
- Process, label and review units and samples in preparation for storage or shipping according to product specifications.
- Package materials in accordance with all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulations, as applicable.
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to personnel, donors, and site records utilized during all duties.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or shipping issues to resolve delays or inconsistencies.
- Monitor collection supply levels and enter purchase requests, as necessary.
- Track and monitor supply stock levels ensuring accurate and timely restocking of inventory.
- Perform receipt, inspection and documentation of supplies received at facility, as applicable.
- Organize and maintain supplies within storage areas to ensure a secure and clean work environment.
TRAVEL
This position may require up to 5 % travel over the course of a year.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
General business hours for the position will be Monday - Friday. Occasionally evening hours and weekends may be required. While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. The employee has potential for exposure to fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, biohazards, flammable liquids. The employee is occasionally required to use equipment with moving mechanical parts, with risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, at times, the noise level can be louder and hearing protection may be required. The employee may work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
