What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Specialist position at Biolife Plasma Services?
BioLife Plasma Services is a leading provider of plasma-derived therapies. As a Medical Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations of our plasma collection centers. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility and ensure the quality of the plasma collected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine donor eligibility based on medical history, physical examination, and laboratory test results
- Manage donor adverse events and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
About the Role: You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician to provide excellent customer service and support the operations of the plasma center. You will also be responsible for managing employee incidents and providing support during pandemic threats within the local community.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be currently licensed or certified as an EMT-Paramedic in the state where responsibilities will be assigned. Additionally, you must be able to fluently speak and read in both English and Spanish.
