At BioLife Plasma Services, we're committed to creating life-changing medicines through the collection of high-quality plasma. As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you'll play a critical role in determining donor eligibility and ensuring the safety of our donors.
Responsibilities include:
- Determining donor eligibility by conducting medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
- Evaluating donor reactions and following established procedures for medical emergencies
- Referring complex cases to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting adverse events
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A current LPN or LVN license in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactory completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
