Successful execution by you and your team will lead to the discovery of novel antibody designs that will progress to the clinic and have the potential to become life-saving medicines for people in need. You will play a critical role in maturing a novel antibody modality that has the potential to unlock new therapeutic targets.
The Contribution You Will Make:
BioLoomics is seeking a Research Associate II to provide support for our cell culture operations. You will be responsible for routine cell culture maintenance as well as sample and inventory management for all company cell lines. You will work closely with the Cell Biology Scientist I and Protein Scientist I. Your work will support protein expression, in-vitro screening, and validation of new therapeutic antibodies and includes exposure and participation in innovative techniques. This position is 100% on-site, M-F with flexible hours, occasional weekend hours.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Maintaining mammalian cell culture operations for 20-30 unique cell lines, including thawing, freezing, passaging, verifying cell count and viability, seeding, and cataloging.
Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Sample and inventory management with impeccable organization and cataloging skills.
General Cell Culture facility maintenance.
SOP generation and modification as necessary.
The Skills & Experience You Will Bring to Our Company:
B.A./B.S./M.S. in a Life science (Biochemistry, Cell Biology) with 3 years of laboratory experience and preference for a minimum of 1 year cell culture experience.
Good understanding of fundamental cell culture techniques including culturing cancer, immortalized, primary, and/or suspension cell lines.
Experience with sample management and cataloging.
Well-developed organization and verbal communication skills. Experience with maintaining scientific documentation and electronic laboratory notebooks.
