Our Production Planner/Buyer will work cross-functionally as the liaison between Client Service and Production to schedule reagent and consumable shipments from Clients and the final product shipments to Clients. This role will also ensure that essential materials and supplies are purchased at the best possible prices while meeting requirements.This will be done in alignment with BIOLYPH’s business model of producing our Clients’ IVD/RUO products Effectively, Efficiently, and Economically.

Our Production Planner/Buyer will work cross-functionally as the liaison between Client Service and Production to schedule reagent and consumable shipments from Clients and the final product shipments to Clients. Essential Functions:
- Utilize, analyze and improve current manufacturing planning and inventory control processes
- Study production lead times and historical performance data to manage production order schedule
- Track material flow to meet order ship dates
- Monitor schedule stability; investigate reasons for schedule changes and work to resolve root causes of schedule volatility
- Work in and manage Manufacturing Planning/Inventory Control System software.
- Sourcing materials, services and supplies
- Negotiation and contract management of suppliers
- Supplier relationship management
- Support the Quality System by adhering and contributing to the established processes associated with Planning and Purchasing.
- Support Continuous Improvement goals by identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to optimize BIOLYPH’s Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Economics
- Work on projects assigned by Management
- APICS CPIM or equivalent preferred
- CPP or equivalent preferred
- Proficient communication
- Project management skills
- Metric implementation and tracking abilities
- Analysis & problem-solving skills
- Well organized, pays attention to details
- Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to adjust to shifting work priorities
- Capable of working independently and as a team
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Normal vision acuity (with or without corrective lenses).
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs routinely/often/occasionally.
- Ability to crouch, bend, twist and reach.
- Ability to push/pull 25 lbs occasionally.
