RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our company is looking for an Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office and supporting the team with any and all needs. You will be helping with phone calls, scheduling inspections shipping and receiving packages, and any and all communication needs that might arise. Greeting occasional clients and visitors, as well as managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands/deliveries.
In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. A pleasing personality with strong communication skills is highly valued.
- Handling incoming calls and other communications.
- Managing records and system database.
- Data entry
- Greeting clients and visitors as needed.
- Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing, Excel.
- Helping organize and maintain office/shop in common areas.
- Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
- Organizing travel by booking accommodations and reservation needs as required.
- Coordinating any events as necessary.
- Helping maintaining supply inventory.
- Maintaining test equipment device records & calibrations as needed.
- Aiding with client reception as needed.
- Experience as an assistant and supporting role.
- Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
MISCELLANEOUS, OPERATIONAL, AND EDUCATIONAL:
- Must comply with company policy and procedures.
- Transports equipment as needed and with supervisor consent.
- Other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Position involves light work including lifting, bending, walking, standing, and if needed driving for a considerable length of time.
- The use of dollies or other equipment is mandatory when moving heavy weight items. May be required to infrequently lift items weighing up to 50-75 lbs. as high as 5 feet or 95 lbs as high as a countertop.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided by the company.
- The work environment is typically in the office/shop, air temperature controlled with normal noise levels. May be asked to work in various outdoor elements at times or if ever needed for pick-up / delivery / loading equipment.
SUPERVISION:
- Employee(s) will be closely supervised and trained during the first 1-3 month evaluation period(s) while transitioning to work independently with moderate supervision.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
- High school diploma/G.E.D. or associate's degree preferred but not required (we encourage students to apply).
- Valid Driver's License issued in the employee’s state of residence and a clean driving record required.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Any certifications or degrees a plus
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 0 – 1 year related experience.
- Prior experience working as an office assistant or in a medical technical setting a plus.
- Manual dexterity and analytical thinking skills are required
- Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
- Must be teachable.
- Ability to work well under limited supervision.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comprehend and communicate in the English language.
- Computer literacy with the ability to navigate through common operating systems, Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, and our computerized management databases (after training), and modern digital-related systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, including overnight travel if ever needed.
