(BMET) Biomedical Equipment Technician

We provide repairs and manufacturer warranty services for more than 100 medical equipment manufacturers. Our service technician receives a wide range of direct manufacturer training yearly.
Position Summary:
Biomed Techs is looking for a qualified Biomedical Technician (or HTM), to perform medical equipment inspection (PM’s) and repairs across Southern FL. Service technician will be dispatch from their home with a company vehicle and specialty tools to perform the service calls.
Responsibilities:
· Evaluate basic customer medical equipment issues and needs, and implement appropriate repairs and/or service.
· Perform preventative maintenance (PM), safety, electrical, environmental, and new equipment inspections on medical equipment.
· The position will be Full-Time; you must be available on an as-needed basis in order to respond to emergency service requests made outside of regular working hours.
· Ability to work overtime and travel long distances with overnight stays (occasionally) with little to no notice will be required.
· Must be able to effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues to complete assignments in a professional and timely manner.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
· Must be able to frequently drive alone for long distances (2 hours).
· A valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to both BioMed Techs and the insurance carrier is required.
· Minimum of two year of electronics equipment or electrical experience required.
· Knowledge of safety regulations, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a busy/distracting setting. Must also be detail-oriented, have time management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Special Physical Requirements:
· Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
· Candidate must also be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
