What are the responsibilities and job description for the BSCP Associate Director of Development and Donor Engagement position at Biomedical Science Careers Program?
The Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP) exists to increase the representation of individuals from underserved communities in science and medicine, while helping all science-related industries and institutions build a more diverse workforce. We lose far too many promising young people, especially students of color, from a future in science due to a lack of connection to professionals in the field who look like them. BSCP lifts up the next generation of leaders by breaking down the barriers that prevent high school and college students from pursuing a future in science and medicine; connecting talented students and fellows with the mentors, resources, and experiences needed for success in this competitive environment; and creating a community that gives everyone the confidence to chase their dreams and the support system to conquer any obstacles that come up along the way. Since 1998, more than 17,000 students and fellows have benefited from BSCP’s work. This includes participants from 41 countries, all fifty states as well as Washington DC and Puerto Rico.
