General SummaryThe Calibration Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing and maintaining a variety of instruments and equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

Description Of Responsibilities

  • Maintain Calibration Log
  • Perform calibrations per Calibration Procedures
  • Perform calibrations per Calibration Master Log / Schedule
  • Coordinate calibrations with Production and Engineering Departments as needed
  • Document calibrations and prepare calibration reports, as required
  • Schedule outside calibration services as required
  • Review / Approve outside Calibration reports
  • Maintain current Calibration records
  • Maintain Calibration Records Archive
  • Maintain control and traceability of Calibration Standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in related field

Minimum Skills

  • Calibration Technician I
  • Perform calibrations on basic equipment such as times, calipers, etc.
  • Read and understand all internal calibration procedures
  • Basic understanding of NIST/17025
  • Good Math Skills
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Advanced understanding of ISO 17025
  • Communicates with outside

Advanced Skills

  • Advanced Math Skills
  • Perform calibrations on more complex equipment such as comparators,

pressure testers, etc.

  • Advanced understanding of ISO 17025
  • Communicates with outside calibration providers
  • Manage the master calibration list
  • Advanced computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, some standing and bending
  • Unassisted lifting of up to 45 lbs.
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination are essential
