Job Description:
The position will be responsible for maintaining multiple types of machines and associated equipment in all areas of the facility.
Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- Perform routine Preventative Maintenance (PM) and repairs on all shop equipment and tooling.
- Perform routine PM and repairs on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform facility maintenance when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate good working area.
- Request quotes and purchase necessary replacement components for equipment and facility repairs.
- Identify and recommend methods for cost improvement.
- Assist with diagnosis of troublesome processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity related to the product, service, process, and quality system.
- Identify and record any problems related to product, service, process, or quality systems. Recommend, initiate, and verify implementation of solutions to problems through designated channels.
- Perform all work with UPG ISO 13485 documentation and quality records conformance.
- Steel toe shoes are required in this position.
- Comply with the policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Biomerics Quality System.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Must have the ability to interpret and work from drawings and schematics.
- Must supply all tools necessary to perform the above job description.
- Experience and understanding of injection molding.
- Minimum of 5 years with specialized training in operation, diagnosis, and repair of injection molding equipment and tooling.
- Experience with general facilities, plumbing, HVAC, Domestic and process water systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of initiative and flexibility in adapting to changing needs of a dynamic work environment.
- The willingness and ability to learn new skills and processes.
- Good English-speaking skills.
