What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician position at bioMerieux?
Responsible for manufacturing quality products efficiently, accurately, safely, and according to regulations. Works on assignments that are routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments. Position requires direct supervision or oversight by a senior employee.
Primary Duties :
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of Biomerieux’s Quality System.
- Maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assemble regulated products and sub-assemblies including medical devices.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned production area(s).
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned equipment.
- Operate low volume manual equipment.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
- Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems.
- Provide training when necessary to new manufacturing technicians.
- Must be able to perform duties wearing a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
Training and Education :
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience :
Entry-level role. No previous experience is required, previously directly related experience is preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements :
Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to ascend / descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
Ability to operate heavy machinery.
Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
