What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Sourcing Global Source to Order Process Excellence Specialist (Contrac position at BioPharma Consulting JAD Group?
The Strategic Sourcing Global Source to Order Process Excellence Temp/Contractor role will provide support to initiatives designed to strengthen Strategic Sourcing capabilities in key areas such as process improvement, policies and governance, technology assessment and implementation, analytics, supplier relationship management, competitive bidding (RFx and e-auctions) and training and development activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global source-to-order (S2O) processes to enhance the value of the Strategic Sourcing organization.
- Assist with developing a supplier performance management program that includes executive business reviews, developing/updating action plans, defining success metrics and monitoring KPI progress.
- Support the introduction of best practices and better ways of managing work and creating processes that support advancing our strategic priorities.
- Develop internal networks to increase communication, knowledge sharing, and engagement to enhance and improve our business processes.
- Assist with development of communication plans with Strategic Sourcing teams and stakeholders to drive consistency and alignment to Strategic Sourcing vision.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient understanding of sourcing, procurement and AP processes and industry best practices in areas such as procurement technology, risk management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder management and market intelligence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of ERP systems, P2P systems and related e-Sourcing tools, including business intelligence and reporting platforms.
- Strong analytical capabilities (data analysis and benchmarking research); proficiency working with data analytical/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. Able to generate necessary data and reports to support their activities.
- Sound understanding and demonstrated use of Continuous Improvement tools (including Pareto Charts, Flow Diagrams, etc.) to drive process improvements
- Proficient project management and organizational skills. Able to create detailed project plans, including an understanding of dependencies as well as critical path elements for larger, more involved projects.
- Able to participate in collaborative manner to drive successful outcomes through earned respect and trust. Collaboration extends beyond stakeholders and suppliers to include other functional areas including Legal, Compliance, Finance, among others.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); able to clearly articulate opinions in concise and persuasive manner. Comfortable speaking in front of groups and/or leading meetings that may include Senior-level Management personnel.
- Ability to support several projects while ensuring deliverables are fully met on-time, including more complex and involved projects. Once given direction, able to work autonomously with minimal support/direction from their manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of Sourcing experience, ideally several within a pharmaceutical / biotech industry, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 6 months with the chance to extend.
