What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Scientist position at BioPhase?
We seek a talented and motivated individual to join our team and support in vitro pharmacology drug discovery efforts across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will provide bioanalytical support using LC-MS / MS technology, contributing to the advancement of drug discovery initiatives. This role involves learning and operating analytical instrumentation, performing bioanalytical assays, and optimizing assay conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide consistent bioanalytical support for various drug discovery projects.
Operate and maintain LC-MS / MS technology for bioanalytical testing.
Perform regular bioanalytical assays and optimize assay methodologies.
Document protocols accurately and maintain high attention to detail.
Present clear and concise data summaries, written and verbal, during team meetings.
Requirements :
BS / BA degree in biological sciences, preferably in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, or neuroscience
Relevant industry experience preferred
Experience operating and troubleshooting UPLC-MS systems (Chromeleon preferred)
Familiarity with High Resolution, qTime of Flight, and / or Triple Quad MS systems
Ability to interpret chromatographic and mass spectrometry data (focused on small molecules)
Competency in performing assays consistently and efficiently, with the ability to identify issues when they arise
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize patterns or inconsistencies in data and instrumentation
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Proficient in computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, planning, and organizational skills
