Overview:
Prendio is the leading procure-to-pay platform for BioTech and Life Science organizations. As we embark on an ambitious growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting function and ensure robust financial management.
The Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, managing relationships with our lenders and PE sponsor, and ensuring our financial reporting and control environment maintains pace with our company’s future growth. This position requires a blend of strong technical accounting knowledge, strategic financial insight, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing accounting processes, optimizing financial systems, and guiding teams to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and financial including the preparation of fluctuation analysis.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax filings, and external audits and act as the primary liaison between the company and all regulatory agencies and external audit teams.
- Manage company cash flow, including forecasting liquidity needs and optimizing working capital.
- Oversee capital expenditures, investments, and financing activities to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Work with lenders and stakeholders to ensure covenant compliance and effective capital structure management.
- Prepare periodic reports and presentations for the private equity firm, detailing financial performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives.
- Assist with due diligence for potential add-on acquisitions and capital raising.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee risk management and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to legal and financial regulations and debt covenants.
- Key contributor to strategic and annual planning processes
- Ensure best practices in accounting operations by establishing a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
