As our Head of Security, you will be responsible for leading our Security department, focusing on maintaining the integrity and security of our information systems. You will be adept at creating and implementing IT & Security policies and systems that meet company objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the security of company data against cyber threats and meeting customer compliance requirements.

What you‘ll be doing :

Own the company’s overall security strategy & roadmap in alignment with customers, product and industry needs.
Develop and implement comprehensive information security programs to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information owned, controlled, or processed.
Ensure that cybersecurity policies and practices are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
Liaise with department team members and leaders to align the company’s technology infrastructure with strategic goals, emphasizing efficiency, value creation, and the importance of data security.
Work closely with product leaderships & customer facing teams to educate & learn about customers security needs and how we might meet them now and in the future.
Determine and prioritize security features to be introduced into the product, ensuring they align with customer demands, security best practices, and overall product vision.
Develop and control the Security budget to ensure it is consistent with the overall strategic objectives of BioRender.
Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and lead business continuity planning to mitigate risks to business operations.
Oversee the security of AI systems by implementing innovative security measures to protect against threats specific to artificial intelligence.

What we value :

Preferred Experience : Strong preference for candidates with a background in enterprise SaaS, combined with experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing AI security initiatives, including securing machine learning models, ensuring data privacy, and safeguarding against AI-specific threats.

Proven experience as a Manager of Security, or similar managerial role, with a strong focus on information security.

Extensive experience with Security Framework and the balance between cybersecurity and compliance.

Knowledge of current IT trends, cybersecurity threats, and risk management practices.

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of Security professionals.

Excellent project management skills, capable of managing security projects from conception to implementation.

Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
