The Statistical Process Control group is dedicated to implementing and managing advanced statistical techniques to ensure product quality and process efficiency. Our team utilizes these methods to monitor and control manufacturing processes, detect variability, and enhance reliability in production outputs. U.S. Hourly Wage Range
$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

Job Description
The Statistical Process Control group is dedicated to implementing and managing advanced statistical techniques to ensure product quality and process efficiency. Our team utilizes these methods to monitor and control manufacturing processes, detect variability, and enhance reliability in production outputs. We leverage data-driven insights to uphold consistent standards and drive continuous improvement within manufacturing operations.
How You Will Contribute
- Assist with completion of product quality review (PQR) report
- Managing own work/projects in Jira with some supervision
- Learn to utilize digital tools to complete work
- Learn to use our digital tools: Statistica, Spotfire, JMP, …etc.
- Assist with Continued Process Verification (CPV) meetings: slide creation, presenting information, note taking
- Collaboration with other business functions
- Understanding SPC Principles: Grasping the foundational concepts of Statistical Process Control and its importance in manufacturing.
- Data Analysis: Learning how to collect, analyze, and interpret data to monitor and control processes.
- Software Tools: Getting hands-on experience with SPC software like Statistica.
- Process Optimization: Identifying opportunities for process improvements through data-driven insights and collaboration across departments.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Developing skills to diagnose and troubleshoot process variability and root causes.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to implement SPC projects and solutions.
- Reporting: Learning to create and present reports on SPC findings and recommendations to diverse sets of audiences.
- This is a hybrid position located in Lexington, MA
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) Concepts or a desire to learn.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., JMP, Statistica, Minitab) is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 programs
- Beginner software programming skills or desire to learn
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail for accurate data analysis.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve process issues.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to Learn: Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new concepts.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
- The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd
- The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
- Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program
