Building Information Modelling (BIM) / Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Specialist
What You Will Do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this role you will play a critical role in the implementation, advancement, and maintenance of BIM and VDC tools and capabilities. Focus will be on growing capabilities, standardizing processes, and implementing an Operational BIM Digital Twin across the network. Responsible for leading and maintaining the as-built 2D and 3D model of the facility, supporting design and construction projects, and leading lifecycle management through BIM and Engineering Digital Technology (EDT) based processes. Based in New Albany Ohio at our new advanced Final Drug Product Packaging plant, and will be the primary individual responsible for BIM.
The position is a member of our Engineering Digital Technology/Site Operations Services Team with a focus on Technology, Engineering and Facilities in maintaining an as-built 3D model of the facility for lifecycle management.

Basic Qualifications
Masters degree
OR
Bachelors degree and 2 years of engineering/Architectural experience
Or
Associates degree and 6 years of engineering/Architectural experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of engineering/Architectural experience engineering/Architectural experience

- Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Domain Expert in Autodesk software and tools.
- Support design & construction projects through the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), leveraging on standardization, innovative project management methods and technology for operations turnover.
- Support and manage operations in maintaining an as-built BIM model for the facility in Revit, Plant3D, Inventor, Autodesk BIM CDE, AutoCAD, Navisworks manage and other 4D-5D software such as Synchro and Hexagon.
- Managing and overseeing BIM with operations, engineering and construction processes and procedures. Working in conjunction with capital projects and facility management teams for quality assurance/quality control that brings to bear the BIM technology for the facility and across the network to collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure reliable as-built centralize data management.
- Serve as administrator of Amgen Autodesk BIM CDE, Data analysis, Database, programming, and software across the network.
- Owner of program documentation as standards, templates, models, and collaboration forums.
- Collaborate with Site and Global Engineering Teams, Process Development, Manufacturing, and Information Systems to advance the implementation of digital tools across the network.
- Managing and developing teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Develop and lead technical training sessions for BIM; EPD workflows and software such as Revit, Plant3D, Inventor, BIM CDE and Navisworks.
- Validate 3D models and data integration comply with Amgen standards and requirements throughout the phases of the projects; ensure models and data structures are ready for transfer to operations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong hands on technical depth and strong collaboration in a diverse culture are key differentiators for this role.
- Technical experience in the implementation of Building Information Modelling programs or other digital tools with extensive experience working with 3D modelling and data management digital tools in Revit, Plant 3D, Inventor, Autodesk BIM, Autodesk Suite, 360 photo, laser scanning and other 4D-5D software such as Synchro and Hexagon.
- Experience working in a complex and regulated environment within in engineering and construction with BIM tools for modeling and applications in cost, scheduling, estimating, and coordination principles. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, P&ID, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
- Experience in the asset lifecycle phases and capital projects execution requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate and partner in a complex and matrix organization. Written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in providing technical support to project teams in the use of 3D modelling tools and a domain expert in Revit and connected databases.
- Experience delivering and/or managing project scope with multiple deliverables and internal/external partners.
- Strong analytical skills to identify potential improvement opportunities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, relationship building, and leadership skills.
