Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$64,500 - $112,200

Organization Overview

The Instrument Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise for instrumentation and process measurement. The instrument engineer role will report to the Facilities Engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules and helping improve the safety culture
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sitewide process and utility instrumentation
  • Create and revise preventative maintenance procedures for sitewide instrumentation
  • Work cross functionally with maintenance and process engineering departments
  • Responsible for CAPA and deviation investigations and originations
  • Change Control owner for applicable equipment and Preventative Maintenance job plans
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance shutdowns
  • Interface with external contractors for calibration service providers as needed


Basic Requirements

  • At least 5 years in Engineering and calibrations/maintenance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience in an engineer role


Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Solid understanding of basic requirements of regulatory agencies such as the FDA, EMEA, DEKRA, and OSHA.
  • Experience with deviation and change management systems including TrackWise.
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) exposure/knowledge/experience
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong computer skills in a variety of software packages (SAP, Excel, etc.), previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e. MAXIMO).


Additional Information

  • Ability to work 8 hour days – Monday through Friday
  • Ability to work overtime and during holiday shutdowns as required
