Responsibilities
- Independently perform mass spectrometry assays in support of monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate characterization and process development activities, including but not limited to intact, subunit and peptide level analysis.
- Ability to serve as an analytical subject matter expert, represent Research and work closely with colleagues across different functional teams and departments.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies to stay at the cutting edge of biologics discovery, production, and analysis.
- Participate in cross-functional teams at project-related meetings, lead/facilitate technical discussions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, including mass specs, and associated LCs, autosamplers.
- PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field with 1 to 3 years of industry experience; BS/MS in chemical biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related field with over 6 years of experience in characterizing large molecules.
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical understanding of scientific discipline with the ability to learn and master innovative technologies.
- In-depth experience with various mass spectrometry platforms (Orbitrap and Q-ToF), MS workflows for protein characterization, and MS software applications for analyzing both routine and complex data sets.
- Robust analytical knowledge with demonstrated proficiency of various chromatographic and capillary electrophoresis techniques.
- Direct experience with biologics, monoclonal antibodies and/or protein therapeutics is a plus.
- Direct experience in ion mobility technology is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within timelines.
- Goal-oriented team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong can-do attitude and can operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
