Currently we are looking for a Chemical Manufacturing Technician to kickstart their career with us in either the Bangor or East Stroudsburg location. We are currently hiring for day shift and night shift and must have the flexibility to work/travel between the Bangor and East Stroudsburg location.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting equipment setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive machine service to ensure continuous operations.
Major Roles and Responsibilities
•Maintain all process and related equipment
•Installs new process and related equipment
•Performs scheduled equipment preventive maintenance
•Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
•Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines
•Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
•Perform work orders as assigned
•Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
•Completes work using power tools and shop tools
•Maintains good housekeeping practices
•Documents all related maintenance in applicable logs
•Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
Qualifications:
• Three years experience of related equipment maintenance.
• Experience using CMMS systems to track and trend maintenance activities and data.
• Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to work with various tools and machinery.
• Good mathematical skills for measuring, fabricating, and formulating.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate cGMP and Safety programs.
• Knowledge and prior use of lock out/tag out (LOTO)
• Basic electrical principles and testing methods
Physical Requirements:
•Standing/Sitting/Walking- Standing, up to 8 hours, occasionally sitting, frequently alternating between sitting and standing. Walking up to 8 hours, 600 feet.
•Lifting & Moving- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds & carry 20 pounds. Must be able to move up to 80pounds 20 feet & push/pull up to 100 pounds 1500 feet.
•Other Movements- Must be able to frequently reach overhead or below, crouch, kneel & stoop. Must be able to occasionally crawl. Must be able to occasionally climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, ramps with tools.
•Other Physical Requirements- Driving is occasionally required to other facilities. Occasional use of a keyboard throughout shift. Possible forklift operations. Frequently using tools & working on equipment. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
•Speaking, Hearing & Visual- Must be able to speak clearly and present well to others. Hearing is required throughout shift. Must be able to see near, distant and peripheral objects at all times.
•Environmental- Seasonal exposure outside. Occasional warm climates indoors. Temperatures will vary with conditions and tasks. Exposure to exterior noise as well as internal machinery noise. Must be able to put on personal protective equipment throughout shift.
•Cognitive- Must learn new policies, procedures, retain and perform tasks assigned. Must maintain focus, be alert and aware at all times.
Travel Requirements:
All BioSpectra job functions require the ability and willingness to work and travel to and from all locations in Pennsylvania as needed in order to fulfill their job responsibilities.
