We are seeking a Sales Consultant to join our team in the Rochester, MN area. role offers a unique opportunity to expand the clinical practice for epilepsy care. The sales approach involves engaging with epileptologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, and allied professionals who define appropriate care for patients needing device therapy. Additional interactions include economic buyers and patient advocacy groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an aggressive sales strategy and plan to grow new and existing accounts.
- Establish physician champions for product adoption and expand the user base.
- Strengthen key referral networks and drive market development activities.
- Utilize strategic selling methodologies, including consultative and solution-based selling.
- Build strong relationships with physicians and allied health professionals, including epileptologists, neurologists, and neurosurgeons.
- Provide education and training to customers, driving participation in company-sponsored programs.
- Present and demonstrate the product’s clinical usage using various formats and platforms.
- Support patients throughout the clinical process and educate them on product benefits.
- Collaborate with Field Clinical Engineers to implement and support Patient Education Programs.
- Partner with internal teams to achieve business goals and document activities using CRM and pipeline management tools.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers at hospitals and clinical institutions.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably with Class III implantable devices.
- Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree such as an MBA is a plus).
- Proven track record as a top sales performer in a neurologic-focused industry, preferably in active implantables, cranial (ENT) devices, imaging, robotics, or navigation systems for neurosurgery.
- Strong individual performance with the ability to leverage team selling to meet customer needs.
- Experience in strategic account planning and developing business plans.
- Collaborative experience working with Field Clinical Engineers and case management teams.
- Ability to adhere to industry compliance standards and corporate policies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with PC and mobile-based communication tools for professional interactions.
- Strong business analysis and sales tracking capabilities.
- Ability to travel 70%-80% to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
