What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance Technician position at Biote?
Biote is the world leader in hormone optimization and we are adding to our team! We partner with providers to take a complete approach to healthier aging through patient-specific bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and the only nutraceutical line created specifically to support hormone health.
We are looking to add a Facility Maintenance Tech to our Birmingham team. You must reside in the Greater Birmingham area to be considered as this will be an in-office position.
As the Facility Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day maintenance activities to support manufacturing operations.
- Maintain required training of Policies and Procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee pest control program, HVAC maintenance, ISO certifications, and general maintenance activities for the facility.
- Conduct monthly facility inspection and perform remediation activity as required.
- Align activities to achieve manufacturing goals and objectives.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with peers from Manufacturing and Quality in support of production activities.
- Direct all technical functions within the business unit to support ongoing manufacturing operations including controls and automation, continuous improvement efforts, optimization of existing processes and troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues.
- Supports equipment engineering to establish specifications for new equipment or modifications associated with improvement of existing equipment.
- Work collaboratively with operations in establishing the equipment requirements needed to deliver site operational goals and objectives including process validation
As the Facility Maintenance Technician, your background should include:
- Associate degree and/or equivalent with HVAC, Electrical or General Contractor experience preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of facility maintenance experience or similar position preferred.
- Must have general electrical knowledge and understanding of AC/DC theory, relays, switches, solenoids, fuses, breakers, etc.
- Valid State of Alabama Driver’s License.
- Previous experience with cGMP facilities preferred.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills within a collaborative team environment.
- Work well under pressure and demonstrate the ability to prioritize workloads.
- Display excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Utilize experience to solve complex problems.
- Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
- Establish and maintain records and other documents.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels throughout the organization.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
