Controls Engineer

Our client, a Biotechnology firm located in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. Focused on separation products in the growing pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas of drug discovery and development, the firm’s primary products are in the field of High- Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) columns. This Controls Engineer will provide essential production support through controls troubleshooting and design, the conception and implementation of new production data systems, and the architecture of efficient process and product databases. You will lead projects aimed at enhancing the capture and utilization of process and product data, ultimately improving operational efficiency.
This role will provide a unique opportunity for an engineer to improve the maturity of our Client’s manufacturing systems through challenging improvement projects as well as supporting the critical control systems that run the production facility.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven project management experience with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Proficiency in C# and VBA macro coding languages.
- Experience with SQL and database architecture.
- Familiarity with manufacturing control systems and their operational requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical one-line diagrams and their application in manufacturing systems.
- Experience in streamlining data acquisition processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience designing user interfaces for manufacturing operations.
