Job Description:
BioUrja Group is looking for a talented and motivated college student to join us onsite for 10-12 weeks in Summer 2025 at BioUrja’s global headquarters location in Houston, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, and market analysis. You will work closely with our experienced corporate development professionals, contributing to real projects and initiatives that drive the company's growth and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Support the development of strategic business cases and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to gather relevant data and insights for strategic initiatives.
- Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategy discussions, offering your perspectives and insights as a valued member of the business team.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- ERP Data Analysis and Dashboard Creation: Extract raw data from ERP systems to design multiple dashboards that highlight crucial KPIs, metrics, and trends, aiding in making informed business decisions.
- Global Steel Market Analysis: Research the global steel market within the Oil & Gas industry to present findings on trends, principal products, and growth opportunities across various segments.
- Business Process Mapping and Automation Identification: Map out essential business processes to pinpoint automation opportunities, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Automation Tools Research: Investigate and recommend software or tools that can automate significant business operations, aligning with the company’s specific needs.
- Competitive Landscape: Research and map out the competitive landscape of major steel distributors to the Oil & Gas industry globally to develop a SWOT analysis.
Qualifications:
- Entering Junior or Senior in a bachelor's or master's degree program, preferably with a focus on Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Excellent research abilities, with the capability to gather, synthesize, and analyze data from various sources.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and findings clearly and succinctly.
- Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Prior internship experience in corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or related fields is a plus, but not required.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work in-person at Houston, TX 77042 headquarters
Duration and Compensation:
- 8–12-week commitment, 40 hours per week full time
- Compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
