Job Description:
BioUrja Group is looking for a talented and motivated student enrolled in an information technology undergraduate program to join us onsite for 10-12 weeks in Summer 2025 at BioUrja’s global headquarters location in Houston, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of corporate IT support, cybersecurity, business analysist, and infrastructure. Under the guidance of our experienced legal professionals, you will work closely with supporting the day-to-day technology needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Research: Conduct comprehensive technology research on new or existing platforms and potential improvements such as infrastructure, security related documentation and improvements, potential uses for AI or machine learning within our environments, etc.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist in reviewing existing IT policies, procedures, and updating as necessary including data flows and user application inventory and functionality analysis. Perform equipment organization, inventory of systems, and misc other physical review processes.
- Project Assistance: Contribute to special projects and initiatives undertaken by the IT team, such as mergers and acquisitions.
- Support: Day to day IT support including patching of loaner workstations, upgrading workstations applications and operating systems, network labeling, installation of software as required.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology related program or undergraduate program.
- Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale.
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to work in-person at Houston, TX 77042 headquarters
Duration and Compensation:
- 8–12-week commitment, 40 hours per week full time
- Compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
