Core Functions
- Operate water and dry ice blasting equipment to remove cleaning and aid in removal of debris
- Conduct routine and deep cleaning of industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Perform high-pressure water blasting and steam cleaning as required.
- Dispose of waste materials and cleaning agents according to safety and environmental regulations.
- Use vacuum trucks for removal of debris.
- Use various hand tools for breaking up and removal of debris.
- Maintain and clean blasting equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and safety goggles as required.
- Inspect surfaces and equipment before and after cleaning to ensure cleanliness and readiness for subsequent processes.
- Report any damage or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning and blasting activities.
- Assist in training new employees on cleaning and blasting procedures as needed.
General Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with various cleaning and blasting techniques and equipment a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability a plus.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in industrial environments, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment is required.
- Ability to work various shifts and weekends as needed
- Overnight travel about 30% of the time
