General Accountant

Bioxcellerator is looking for a bilingual, dynamic individual to join our team. The candidate will handle daily accounting responsibilities, lead the monthly closing process for assigned countries, and complete financial reporting requirements. The candidate must possess skills to comprehend complex domestic and international business strategies and transactions and record such events in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles while also learning the assigned country’s accounting requirements.

Essential Job Functions

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Responsible for the full cycle of A/R.
• Responsible for the full cycle of A/P.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

Bank Reconciliation:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate US and foreign bank account cash flow records.

End of Month Closing:

· Responsible for all end-of-month closings for all foreign and domestic entities.

·     Consolidate foreign and domestic entities into one reporting account.

Expense Reporting:

• Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.

Administrative Support:

• Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
• Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

• BS/BA required in accounting.
• Two to Four years experience in accounting, ideally with multi-units.
• A sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial Accounting Standards
• The candidate should possess technical expertise in the full cycle of accounting and auditing.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office applications
• QBO or enterprise-level software experience preferred
• The position requires frequent communication with various management levels across many disciplines, countries, languages, and cultures.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
