Accounting Coordinator

Purpose:

Reporting to the Staff Accounting Manager, the BioZyme Accounting Coordinator is a key member of the Accounting Team who assists in the day-to-day operations in support of the Accounting and Finance Department.

They are primarily responsible for successfully executing the organization’s accounts receivable function in compliance with company policies and procedures.

They are responsible for the preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations according to the monthly close schedule. They monitor and record daily cash activities, prepare and record journal entries to the general ledger, and are responsible for other various accounting-related tasks and responsibilities.

Accountabilities:

• Understands and ensures the accuracy of all financial reporting activity
• Prepares and records journal entries, reconciliations, and other supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule
• Records daily cash activities
• Prepares cash reports and forecasts
• Processes customer invoices and issues statements
• Communicates with customers concerning questions on their accounts
• Communicates with customers on past-due balances and collections
• Carries out all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Required Education – Associate’s degree in business or Accounting; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Required Work Experience – 1-3 years experience in a similar role
