Team/Role Overview:
The Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager will sit within our banking client’s Controllers Organization, playing a pivotal role in the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory submissions.
This highly visible role will support the preparation, analysis, and delivery of regulatory reports to U.S. and local regulators — including the Federal Reserve, OCC, and others — in compliance with applicable reporting rules and standards.
The position offers significant exposure to Executive Management and cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders across the bank, including Risk, Treasury, Finance, Capital Controllers, Enterprise Data, and Technology teams.
What you will do:
- Lead the Review & Challenge of transaction testing exceptions identified by Internal Audit, Quality Assurance, and Risk, ensuring accuracy and completeness of test results.
- Analyze control and data quality issues to assess impact on U.S. Bank Regulatory Reports, including sizing and root cause analysis.
- Support production, review, and timely submission of key U.S. regulatory filings including FR Y-9C, Call Report, FFIEC 009, FR Y-15, among others.
- Track and manage key metrics associated with reporting processes; implement controls to improve data accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Drive continuous process improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and governance of the regulatory reporting function.
- Act as a point of contact during regulatory inquiries, examinations, and internal reviews; provide detailed documentation and analyses as needed.
- Partner with Risk, Finance, Audit, and Control functions to share regulatory updates and provide guidance on potential impacts.
- Collaborate with the Risk & Controls team to maintain and continuously improve a strong internal controls environment.
Required Skills:
- 10 years of experience in regulatory reporting within the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of U.S. regulatory reporting standards and key reports such as FR Y-9C, Call Report, FR Y-15, etc.
- Familiarity with Basel III capital regulations, GAAP/SEC reporting, and stress testing frameworks such as CCAR.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization, synthesizing large amounts of data to deliver actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence change and interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to identify and resolve reporting or control issues efficiently.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, forward-looking mindset and an ability to anticipate regulatory shifts and plan accordingly.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
** The base salary for this role $100,000-$140,000**
