About Birch Academy
Birch Academy is a 10-month specialized school approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education. Our 25-day summer program is thoughtfully designed for children whose primary special education needs are related to autism or developmental delays. We focus on building strong academic foundations, nurturing individual strengths, and promoting independence through functional communication and adaptive skills.

Who We’re Looking For: Student Support Professionals
We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable Paraeducator to join our school team July & August 2025! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a daily difference in the lives of students while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, supportive educational environment.
Options for interested candidates for a permanent full time or part time position during our upcoming 2025-2026 school year!
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in accessing their individualized instruction and therapies
Assist lead teachers and behavior specialists with classroom activities and behavior plans
Provide 1:1 or small group support under the guidance of a BCBA and certified special education teacher
Promote social and communication skill development throughout the school day
Help collect data on student goals and support skill generalization across environments
Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism (preferred)
Ability to follow behavioral support plans and implement consistent routines
Strong teamwork, flexibility, and positive attitude
Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative setting
